Keys and references

Preserve the application identifiers and the employee reference when moving data in. The employee’s department, position, location, manager and payroll calendar must resolve to current records. A requisition should point to its position; an application to its candidate and requisition; an offer to its candidate and position. Keep pay statements linked to their run and employee. Keep weekly time entries linked to the timesheet that contains them.

Migration order

  1. Enter departments, locations, job titles, pay grades and payroll calendars.
  2. Enter positions and employee records, including manager references.
  3. Bring over requisitions, candidates, applications and offers with their links.
  4. Bring over leave types, balances, requests and timesheets.
  5. Bring over pay, benefit, performance and learning history in the period it belongs to.
  6. Compare a sample employee across the register, their leave, their pay statement and their review.
