Store staff assignments uses Number as its business identifier and references Employees, Organizations, People and retail locations. Store shift entries links through Parent and has its own source record id for the source of the shift fact. Review decisions and the other evidence records refer to the assignment through Source. Employees uses employee ID and links to Positions, Departments, Locations and payroll calendars. Timesheets, leave requests and pay statements each refer to Employees; pay statements also refers to payroll runs.
Migration order
- Create Organizations, People, retail locations and the people foundation reference records used by Employees.
- Create Employees with their position, department, location, manager and payroll calendar references.
- Bring in hiring, training, leave and payroll history with its existing dates and identifiers.
- Load store staff assignments before store shift entries and review evidence so each child points to its source.
- Reconcile a representative store shift, time period and payroll run before broader use.
