Seasonal staffing teams
A seasonal hiring period compresses recruiting, onboarding and scheduling into a short window. The candidate's application and offer give HR the context to create the employee record. Checklists, learning records and store assignments then refer to that employee. HR Manager can see the intended start date; Store Manager can check that the person planned for a shift has the right employee and training context.
How Retail Staff HRMS is set up for you
Hiring pipeline
Job Requisitions name the position, location and hiring manager. Applications show the candidate stage, interviews hold their outcome and Offers record the proposed start.
Arrival work
Onboarding Checklists group dated transition tasks. Each Onboarding Task has a responsible assignee, deadline, status and evidence.
Learning before the shift
Course Enrollments and Training Records keep due dates and completion dates with the employee.

Choose one store and one seasonal position. Record a candidate through an interview and offer, then establish the employee with the correct hire date, position, department and payroll calendar. Create onboarding work with an assigned training task and a course enrollment. Before publishing the first Store Staff Assignment, have Store Manager inspect the completion evidence that matters for the role.
Keep hiring and roster dates aligned. An offer start date, employee hire date, onboarding start date and first shift may differ for valid reasons, but the responsible people should understand each difference. When a start date changes, HR updates the affected records and tells the roster owner which assignment needs review. The process also gives HR a dated Employment History entry when the employee later transfers, leaves or is rehired.
