How the model is organised

People and organization

Employees sit in Departments, Locations and Positions, with job titles and pay grades defining the seat. Employment history retains dated changes.

Hiring and joining

Job requisitions connect to Applications, Candidates, Interviews and Offers. Onboarding checklists and onboarding tasks carry the employee handoff.

Leave and time

Leave types define policy; leave balances and leave requests belong to employees. Timesheets contain dated time entries.

Pay and benefits

Payroll calendars organize payroll runs, whose pay statements contain pay statement lines. Benefit plans and benefit enrollments record coverage. Tax jurisdictions and tax filings support the pay period.

Development

Performance cycles connect Goals and performance reviews. Courses lead to course enrollments and durable training records.

Keys and references

Keep stable employee ID, requisition number, application number and run number values during migration. Use the declared references to connect transactions instead of matching people by name. A manager is an Employees reference, an offer points to its candidate and position, and a pay statement points to both its run and employee. Preserve effective dates and the historical event record when an assignment changes.

Migration order

  1. Organization. Load Departments, Locations, pay grades, job titles and Positions; verify their parent and reporting references.
  2. People. Load Employees with their entity, manager, position and payroll calendar; reconcile employment history.
  3. Policy. Load leave types, payroll calendars, benefit plans, Courses and tax jurisdictions with applicable dates.
  4. Open work. Import active job requisitions, Applications, Offers, leave requests, Timesheets and onboarding checklists with their references.
  5. History and balances. Reconcile leave balances, prior pay statements, performance reviews and training records before the first operating cycle.
