Who it's for

Multi-location employers

A multi-location employer needs the worker's current entity, country, location, department and manager to agree. A transfer changes where work is done, while the employment history retains when the decision took effect. HR Business Partner can review the employee register by department; Payroll Admin checks the calendar and currency before the next run.

How HRMS with Employee Engagement is set up for you

Placement

Departments, positions and locations identify the organizational seat. A position also carries its job title and pay grade.

Leave

Leave types can vary by country and employee class. The dated balance and submitted request help the approver decide a specific absence.

Pay

Payroll calendars distinguish entity, country, currency and frequency. A worker assigned to the wrong calendar can land in the wrong pay population.

A multi-location employer needs the worker's current entity, country, location, department and manager to agree. A transfer changes where work is done, while the employment history retains when the decision took effect. HR Business Partner can review the employee register by department; Payroll Admin checks the calendar and currency before the next run.

Start with one employing entity, one location and a representative department. Import the employees, assign positions and managers, then reconcile the active employee register against the team's current roster. Choose one leave type and one payroll calendar for that population. Ask an employee to submit a leave request that crosses a payroll boundary; confirm the approver and Payroll Admin understand the effect in each period.

Next, rehearse a transfer to another location. HR Business Partner records the dated transfer and checks the new position and manager. Payroll Admin compares the entity, country, currency and calendar. Review one pay statement after the change, including the period dates and line amounts. If a tax jurisdiction changes with the location, confirm the corresponding filing owner and external submission route before live use.

Expand only after the first population reconciles. A second entity can have a different calendar, leave type and tax jurisdiction. Keep those decisions explicit in the employee placement and operating rules rather than assuming the first location's settings apply to everyone.
