Skills-focused workforces
Teams that depend on current skills need to know which employee was assigned a course, whether it was completed and when a credential expires. Performance reviews and goals give HR Business Partner a dated discussion; L&D Admin handles the course assignment and training evidence. Keeping both records tied to the same employee helps a manager understand the follow-up.
How HRMS with Employee Engagement is set up for you
Development
Goals identify business, development or behavioral work with a due date and progress.
Review
A performance cycle groups subject and reviewer records, narratives, ratings and release status.
Training
Course enrollments show the assignment reason and due date; training records retain completed dates, provider and expiration.
Choose one team and one review cycle. Agree on the dates for self and manager review and ask a worker to add a development goal. HR Business Partner checks that the goal belongs to the right cycle. A reviewer submits a review; HR Business Partner calibrates and releases it after the decision. The worker's acknowledgement should be recorded separately from release.
Take one development action from the discussion and assign an active course. L&D Admin sets the assignment reason and due date. When the employee finishes, verify the outcome before marking enrollment completed. If the course produces a credential, record the title, provider, completion date and expiration date on the training record. The renewal view then gives L&D Admin a dated follow-up list.
Rehearse a failed enrollment and a record that has expired. The failed attempt should not look like valid completion. The expired record should remain in the worker's history while the team decides whether a new assignment is needed. If an external learning platform supplies results, agree the matching and evidence route before relying on imported completions.
