Distributed workforce
A team with employees in offices and remote locations needs a consistent departure record across locations. Locations and Departments keep the current context while an Offboarding checklist gives each case its own due dates.
How HRMS with Exit Management is set up for you
Location handoff
Use the employee location to route the practical work to the right team.
Manager review
Confirm the current manager before assigning an exit task.
Payroll timing
Match the payroll calendar and period to the departure date.
A team with employees in offices and remote locations needs a consistent departure record across locations. Locations and Departments keep the current context while an Offboarding checklist gives each case its own due dates.
The first departure should be simple enough to inspect end to end. Start with an employee whose manager, department and payroll calendar are current. HR Business Partner records the effective event and opens the Offboarding checklist. Task owners report outcomes with evidence, and Admin updates the task records. Payroll Admin checks the relevant pay period and statement.
A second case should include a real exception: a blocked task, a leave request awaiting a decision or an enrollment whose end date needs review. Keep that exception visible until the right owner resolves it. This gives the team a practical test of the handoff before more employees use the process.
Choose one department and one payroll calendar. Agree the exit task categories, due dates and evidence expected from assignees. Check the employee status, employment history event and checklist on the same case. Inspect the pay statements record only after choosing the correct payroll runs period. Review the result with HR Business Partner and Payroll Admin, then adjust task wording and owner assignments before expanding.
