The tables behind Impact Measurement Platform

Impact Measurement Platform ships with 14 tables, grouped here by the feature that uses them. Every record your team works with lives in one of them, and you can add fields and tables in Proto.

How the model is organised

Configuration

Organizations own theory of change goals and People. Source mappings attach field rules to a goal.

Operations

Impact programs point to an organization, owner and goal. Outcome observations belong to a program.

Review and evidence

Evidence documents, follow up actions, review decisions and state history refer to the program.

Execution and provenance

Operation runs refer to a program; operation steps belong to a run. Execution attempts refer to a program.

Keys and references

Each impact programs record has a number and references to Organizations, People and theory of change goals. Outcome observations retain a required source record id and Parent reference. Review decisions record source revision and Reviewer. Operation runs carry operation key and source revision; steps carry a Run reference. These keys let the team follow the reported value back to its source and decision.

Migration order

  1. Load Organizations and People with stable codes.
  2. Load theory of change goals under the intended organization, then source mappings where source fields need interpretation.
  3. Load impact programs with their organization, owner and definition references.
  4. Load outcome observations, evidence documents and follow up actions under the correct program.
  5. Load review decisions, state history, operation runs, operation steps and execution attempts only with their original revision and receipt context.
