How a Impact Measurement Platform rollout works

Start with a bounded program and a reviewable outcome.

  1. Set the context

Establish the organization, people and theory-of-change goal for the first reporting cycle. Agree codes, effective dates and policy references.

  2. Prepare the source

Choose a program owner, observation date and source identifier. Define mapping rules for values arriving from another system.

  3. Capture a case

Enter the program, observation lines, evidence documents and assigned follow-up actions. Check the source of each value.

  4. Rehearse review

Have an independent reviewer return one revision and approve a corrected one with a reason and evidence reference.

  5. Inspect delivery

Follow an operation run and its steps through a known result and an uncertain result. Reconcile against the external receipt before closing the exception.

What the customer provides

Bring organization and person codes, the goal and its policy reference, program numbering, sample source records, evidence files and the people who prepare and review the first case. Agree what makes an observation accepted and what receipt confirms an external action. Use representative rejected and returned examples, not only a successful case.

Changing it afterwards

Preserve the earlier program revision, observation and decision when a result is corrected. Update the mapping version when source interpretation changes. For a superseded delivery, record a follow-up action for the compensating work and keep the prior run and receipt available to the reviewer.
