Prepare the first operating cycle

Choose one service and its primary asset context. Name the Service Manager and active responders. Add an on-call shift, then work a representative incident from opening through acknowledgment, investigation and resolution. Keep the response events and updates clear enough for another person to continue at a shift change.

  • Service name, owner, criticality and status.
  • Asset tags, conditions and service mapping.
  • Responder identities, coverage intervals and escalation levels.
  • A real incident example and a monitoring event identifier for reconciliation.

Review before release

Compare the incident’s times with recorded response actions. Check the on-call schedule against the incident’s assigned person at handoff. Rehearse a rejected monitoring receipt and a planned change with a rollback outcome. Test each operating role’s access to the records it must manage or review, then ask the Service Manager to accept the first service’s setup before extending coverage.
