Who it's for

Internal IT teams

Internal IT teams support services that many colleagues depend on. A disruption may start with a monitoring signal, a user report or an operator's observation. The team needs to identify the affected service, the relevant asset and the person working the incident. The Service Manager can use the same records to review recurring problems and planned fixes after immediate recovery.

How Incident Response Platform is set up for you

Service ownership

Give each supported service a named owner and criticality so an incident has a clear business context.

On-call planning

Schedule responders by service and time, then review active incidents at each shift handoff.

Response history

Record acknowledgment, escalation, mitigation and resolution actions beside dated incident updates.

Planned work

Keep service requests and changes distinct, with a decision on each before work proceeds.

Start with a small set of supported services and the assets most often involved in disruptions. Map active team members and one operating rota. Use a recent incident as the rehearsal case: open the record, assign a responder, record the acknowledgment, add an update and verify the recovery time. Read that case at a shift change to see whether the next person can continue without an oral recap.

For recurring failures, open a Problem for the affected service and name its owner. If the remedy needs a scheduled service change, record the risk, window and rollback plan separately. Review the proposal before implementation and record the verified or rolled-back result. This gives the team a continuous account from live response to longer-term repair.

Monitoring and paging systems can remain in place. Agree how an incoming event becomes a receipt and who decides whether an incident should be opened. The receipt's provider identifier and handling status help the team investigate delivery gaps. The live incident and response records remain the operating source for who is handling the disruption.
