Regional response teams
A regional response team may have several investigators working from different locations. The case record identifies the person and the assigned investigator, while team assignments explain each person's access purpose and effective period. The Clinical Coordinator schedules the investigation; the Clinical Governance Administrator keeps the assignment history and clinician privileges current. This arrangement lets the team change operational ownership without erasing who previously worked on the case.
How Infection Control System is set up for you
Assignment period
Enter access purpose and effective dates when an investigator joins or leaves a case team.
Episode ownership
Name the investigator on each investigation, even when the case has multiple episodes.
Follow-up accountability
Give each action an assignee and due date, then mark completion or escalation explicitly.

Pilot one case with an assigned investigator, one active team assignment and one scheduled investigation. Have the investigator record a note and one observation. Create a follow-up action assigned to another person and check that the action is visible to its owner. End the first team assignment, add another, and schedule a second investigation. The reviewer should be able to see which evidence belongs to each episode and which actions remain open on the case.
Decide how investigator changes are communicated so case ownership, episode ownership and team access stay aligned. A privilege record can show whether a clinician's verified authority is within its effective dates. Reporting can group investigation status and follow-up due dates to support a regular team review. Agree how the team shares case findings outside the app and who reviews those details before release.
