How a Intercompany Reconciliation rollout works

Pilot one entity pair and period before extending the reconciliation cycle.

  1. Define scope

Choose the first trading entity pair, period, charge type and owners for each finance decision.

  2. Prepare reference data

Check entity codes, partner records, ledger accounts, team assignments and sign-off limits.

  3. Load opening work

Bring in a small set of paired charges, their lines, settlement references and supporting files.

  4. Rehearse actions

Issue a receivable, approve a payable and release a settlement through their native actions; inspect decisions and receipts.

  5. Review the period

Compare charge balances, bank references and journal lines with the owning systems before expanding the scope.

What the customer provides

Provide the entity and counterparty list, account mapping, a representative period, sample charges and the people who prepare and approve them. Finance should specify the bank and ledger handoffs and the policy for cross-currency amounts, disputed charges and corrections.

Changing it afterwards

When a new entity or charge type is added, repeat the paired-charge and settlement rehearsal. Review access and sign-off authority whenever team assignments change. Preserve prior decisions, receipts and source references so the next period can explain a correction.
