How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Inventory Valuation System for your business. Pilot one entity, one product and one accepted receipt through a count and period review.

What establishes inventory value?

An accepted receipt or supported production output creates the stock event and source layer used to trace remaining carrying value.

Who approves a stock adjustment?

Warehouse Manager reviews the counted scope and Finance Manager reviews value impact before an authorized adjustment is posted.

Can a partial receipt be accepted?

Yes. Actual arrival and accepted tranches remain separate, so the team can account for usable and rejected portions.

How is stock in transit shown?

Owned transit remains in an inventory position until actual destination receipt moves the supported quantity onward.

Does changing a standard rewrite old stock events?

Effective cost versions preserve the source basis used by earlier transactions. A correction follows its own reviewed path.

What does a valuation run measure?

It records before and after carrying values and deltas for its monetary source lines, with currency and rate evidence.

What must happen before period close?

The team reconciles current source tasks, resolves exceptions and obtains the Finance Manager’s close decision.

How are integrations checked?

An integration event carries source identity, external key and verification state. Repeated economic actions should reconcile to one effect.
