• Event source. Choose the external provider that supplies operational events and preserve its event identifier on each receipt.

For a source you choose to connect, record the provider, external event identifier, receipt time and payload hash. Its processing status distinguishes Received, Applied, Rejected and Failed outcomes. Assign an owner to inspect exceptions and reconcile the source event with the intended operational record. Use the receipt as evidence of processing, then inspect the incident, request or other working record for the actual service outcome. Define duplicate handling and failure follow-up for each connected source during setup.
