Systems to connect
- External event sources. Map each inbound source to an integration receipt with its source identifier, receipt time, payload hash and outcome.
- Monitoring and availability. Decide which operating system supplies availability checks, log alerts and server metrics for the services and assets you manage.
- Release systems. Connect deployment, pipeline and observation feeds where the team wants release evidence beside a service.
- Identity and asset sources. Agree where people, users, asset tags and custody changes originate before importing records.
How connections are governed
Name an owner for each source and decide how duplicate external identifiers, rejected receipts and failed receipts are reviewed. An integration receipt reflects the handling of an inbound event; the operational case retains its own status. Confirm service and asset references during a small pilot before widening the feed. Keep the source record available when a reviewer needs to explain an unexpected update.
