Keys and references

Keep the references intact during import. The learner’s name is readable, but the reference on an enrollment, attendance record or result is the dependable link. A course can have multiple sessions and assessments. A certificate requirement belongs to an enrollment, while an award belongs to a person and a requirement. Do not merge those identities during migration.

Migration order

  1. Bring in Users and People used for instructors and access.
  2. Load Learners and Courses with their existing dates and states.
  3. Load Enrollments, class sessions and Assessments with their references.
  4. Load Attendance, assessment results, Fees and certification requirements.
  5. Load certification awards after both People and requirements are present.
