Integrations

Plan how provider events and store systems feed the service desk.

  • Retail ITSM
  • Monitoring provider
  • Store equipment source
  • People directory

Systems to connect

  • Monitoring provider. Supply the provider name, external event ID, received time and payload hash for event receipt tracking.
  • Store equipment source. Bring current register and site asset identities into the asset records with usable tags, serial numbers and locations.
  • People directory. Align service desk people with user records so assignment and ownership refer to the right person.

How connections are governed

Agree which provider owns an event ID and how repeated delivery is handled. A receipt has a processing state: received, applied, rejected or failed. Give rejected and failed receipts an operational owner so they are reviewed. Define any further event-to-incident action during setup and test it with an actual store case. Keep the store’s equipment and people references current before depending on those links in triage.
