How a Kitchen Inventory Management rollout works
Pilot actual kitchen stock cases before expanding data imports, permissions or connected demand.
Agree ingredient and location identity
Inventory Clerk and Inventory Supervisor choose the pilot ingredient group, base unit and storage locations. App Administrator resolves organizations, team members and users. Record how par-level policies apply to the pilot channel without treating its text rule as automatic ordering.
Reconcile opening stock
Load item and lot identities in the data-model order. Check on-hand quantity against the physical evidence and retain received date and known expiry date. Agree the migration cutoff so historic movement records are not replayed on top of an opening balance.
Rehearse decisions and holds
Prepare a request from Draft to Review, obtain the supervisor decision at its current revision and create an eligible hold. Test stale decisions, excessive holds and repeated operation keys using the published actions.
Check execution and correction
Execute approved stock work and compare the signed effect with the lot result. Cancel authorized unused scope to release holds, reverse an incorrect posted movement through compensation, and retain a failed reconciliation with the request unchanged.
Verify access and connect demand
Test the configured role boundaries with real accounts before extending access. Configure the team's worklists and any required Admin setup permissions explicitly. Arrange external purchasing or kitchen planning handoffs only after the native stock results can be reconciled.
What the customer provides
Provide ingredient codes, base units, current lot quantities, evidenced dates and recognizable location codes. Identify the people who prepare requests, decide them and review the evidence. Supply representative delivery notes and waste submissions, the intended par rules and any external purchasing or planning source references. Keep credentials in the provider’s supported sign-in flow.
Changing it afterwards
Use Inventory Supervisor’s authorized correction and reversal actions for operational mistakes. A catalog edit is not a correction of a posted quantity. Rehearse policy and connection changes against the same pilot cases, preserving earlier request revisions, decisions and stable operation keys. Keep a record of any capability requiring additional configuration before the kitchen depends on it.
