Review kitchen waste

The kitchen waste action records a supervisor's decision on stock requests. It retains a review decision record, increments the request revision and writes matching operation receipt evidence. Follow the posted movement and lot balance to confirm the stock deduction. Keep those handoffs visible when the kitchen asks what was approved and what actually changed.

Step by step

  1. Prepare waste evidence Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk records subject, item, location, requested units and required date on the waste request. Link the inspected evidence through record attachments' parent request. Use the agreed base unit and current revision rather than an unexplained packaging quantity.

    • Capture inspected request scope
    • Updates Stock requests, Record attachments, Stock items
  2. Submit current scope Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk routes the prepared request from Draft to Review for Inventory Supervisor. Check that the evidence and requested quantity describe the same physical case. Agree how the request subject identifies the waste submission, then check that the evidence describes the inspected quantity.

    • Present current revision for review
    • Updates Stock requests
  3. Decide the request Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor approves the current submitted revision through the waste decision action. It writes reviewer, decision and rationale on review decisions, moves the request to Approved with an incremented revision, and records the corresponding receipt. Stale revisions and already Executed or Cancelled requests are refused.

    • Record the supervisor's approval and revision
    • Updates Stock requests, Review decisions, Operation receipts
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Inspect the replay result Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor repeats the same stable operation key during rehearsal and verifies that the original decision returns. A replay must not produce another reviewed decision or a second matching operation result for the same action.

    • Reuse the original decision result
    • Updates Review decisions, Operation receipts
  5. Follow the stock effect Inventory Clerk or Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Clerk follows the approved stock execution path; Inventory Supervisor reconciles its result. Auditor compares stock movements' reason, parent request and signed quantity with the request and decision evidence. An approval with no posted effect remains an approved submission awaiting stock work.

    • Trace actual quantity change and reconciliation
    • Updates Stock movements, Stock lots, Stock requests, Operation receipts

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A waste decision is reported as a deduction before the team checks the posted movement and lot balance.
  • The supervisor reviews an older revision after the requested quantity has changed.
  • Every movement with a reason is counted as waste without checking its source submission.
  • A failed completion receipt is hidden while the approved quantity remains unreconciled.
