Systems to connect
- Artwork design and file storage. Set up the handoff that supplies the reviewed attachment. Agree who identifies the authoritative file and how its revision is recorded before inspection review.
- Product master or formulation system. Connect the source of SKU identity and product content when your operation needs it. Agree how the receiving team confirms market and ingredient information before recording label check evidence.
- Production or packaging job system. Establish how the inspection subject reference identifies the relevant job or run. Agree which inspection outcome is sent back and who authorizes the production release in that system.
- Specialist review providers. Agree how legal advice, translation review or barcode test output reaches the person recording the label check. Keep the supporting evidence attached to the actual artwork being examined.
How connections are governed
Treat each connection as a setup choice with a named owner. Define the source of each value, how references are reconciled and what happens when a source revision changes during review. Test a repeated handoff and a mismatched reference before enabling routine use.
An external acknowledgment is separate from the internal quality decision. Keep failed transfers visible to the operating team and agree who resolves them. A reviewer should be able to identify the attachment and inspection used for the decision even when the original material came from another system.
Start with manual, reviewed handoffs where appropriate, then add connections around a rehearsed operating cycle. See implementation for the preparation sequence.
