How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Lean Manufacturing Tools for your business. Begin with a scoped 5S audit, an owned Kaizen proposal and an inspection case that can be rehearsed through review and corrective follow-up.
How do we agree the 5S scoring scale?
Define what each score means for the selected category and audit scope. Keep the maximum score visible beside the result, and compare only scopes whose scoring practice the team understands.
Who owns an improvement proposal?
Select the responsible person when the Inspector submits the proposal. The owner stays attached while the work moves from Proposed through approval and implementation to verification and closure.
Who accepts or rejects an inspection?
The Quality Approver reviews the required check evidence and makes the disposition decision through the authorized command. Eligible passing scope becomes Accepted; failed scope becomes Rejected and carries a linked nonconformance into the response process.
What happens after a failed inspection?
The review process raises a nonconformance with severity and containment responsibility. The Quality Manager coordinates containment and investigation, then assigns corrective work against the same failure.
When does a nonconformance close?
The corrective review process closes it only after every linked corrective action is accepted. Accepting the first completed action leaves the failure open while another linked action still needs acceptance.
Can we correct an audit observation later?
Use the supported correction path. Later corrections retain attributed successor evidence so the original observation remains available to the responsible reviewer.
How do acknowledgments follow document revisions?
Agree a versioning practice that preserves the identity of the document each person read. Record acknowledgments against the intended document, then compare the history with the audience required for the revised instruction.
Can we connect our production system?
Yes, plan that connection during setup. Agree how the inspection subject maps to the production record, who owns the information and which updates are permitted. Rehearse the quality decision and physical-handling handoff together.
What should we test before the first operating cycle?
Test a passing inspection and a rejected one, a corrective review with other linked actions still open, and a Kaizen proposal that needs a reasoned rejection. Also check personal access, document identities and the behavior of an unchanged command retry.
