What you can do
Review the operating picture
Operations Overview shows where origination and servicing work stands: applications by stage, pending credit reviews and failed operations ranked by recorded exceptions. The team can use that page as a starting point for follow-up, then open the underlying application, review or receipt. A summary is most useful when the responsible person can find the source record and its last known outcome.
Operation receipts describe an action under a stable operation key and expected application revision. Their result state separates pending, completed, failed and needing review. A receipt may also carry an external reference, effect references and failure reason. The Credit Officer and approver can inspect these alongside application evidence and decisions to understand what happened. The Auditor needs the same trail within read-only scope.
How the work is organized
- Work stage. Follow applications by their recorded status and owner.
- Credit queue. Inspect submitted underwriting reviews and decisions waiting for action.
- Exceptions. Open failed or uncertain receipts and compare their references with actual effects.
What to agree during setup
Choose who monitors the overview each day and who owns a failed operation after it appears. Define which source confirms an actual provider effect. A completed local receipt should be supported by its referenced effect; a pending one remains follow-up. Decide when an exception needs an Independent Credit Approver’s review and when it is an operational source correction for the Credit Officer.
Agree how the team handles repeated provider responses. The operation key and external reference should let them identify a retry of the same attempted action. A new application revision calls for a fresh decision basis. The App Administrator can maintain membership and access, while credit and financial authority stays with the relevant lending roles.
Check the handoff on an actual case
The overview shows an application awaiting credit review and another operation marked failed. The Independent Credit Approver opens the first application’s submitted revision and records a decision with a reason. The Credit Officer opens the failed operation receipt, compares its external reference and effect references with the application and provider evidence, and leaves the case in review until the actual effect is known. The next reader can distinguish a credit decision still waiting from a provider operation that failed after an authorized case moved forward.
