In-house litigation teams
An in-house legal department needs to know which business organization owns a dispute and which team member is responsible for the next obligation. The matter connects those facts to the counterparty, jurisdiction and engagement reference. Dated events, court deadlines and document records provide context for the supervising attorney's decisions.

An in-house legal department needs to know which business organization owns a dispute and which team member is responsible for the next obligation. The matter connects those facts to the counterparty, jurisdiction and engagement reference. Dated events, court deadlines and document records provide context for the supervising attorney's decisions.
Select a dispute with a clear business owner and a forthcoming court date. Record the organization, counterparty and responsible team member. Add its deadline, the court and filing reference, then have the supervising attorney inspect the submitted revision. Give the auditor an authorized view of the outcome and ask whether the record explains both the decision and what happened afterward.
Include a change to the due date in the rehearsal. The changed revision should be presented to counsel again, with the earlier decision remaining identifiable. Add a document that has a later working revision so the team can tell what was actually produced. This starting scope tests handoffs between the coordinator, attorney and evidence reviewer without relying on a separate status sheet.
