Multi-site field teams
When operators work across several locations, a familiar field name may not be enough to identify the right job. The pasture record carries a field code and location, and each task points to both a pasture and a cycle. The assignee is a linked team member with a user account, so the manager can check who was expected to perform the work.
How Livestock Management is set up for you
Find the right place
Combine the field code, location, boundary survey and availability before dispatching work.
Give a clear assignment
Keep task type, due date, cycle and assignee together.
Capture field evidence
Record completed work, application details and dated observations from the correct pasture.
Review centrally
Let a manager follow open work and a production reviewer accept the output of each cycle.
When operators work across several locations, a familiar field name may not be enough to identify the right job. The pasture record carries a field code and location, and each task points to both a pasture and a cycle. The assignee is a linked team member with a user account, so the manager can check who was expected to perform the work.
Pick a small set of paddocks from two locations. Confirm that codes are unique enough for field staff to use without confusion. Add a current cycle and an inspection task for each location. Have Pasture Manager approve one and hold the other while checking its status. The operators should be able to identify the correct paddock and due date from their assignment.
Record one observation and one completed task at each site. Review them centrally with the cycle board and task board. If a boundary capture is made, check the linked pasture and survey date before it informs a future plan. Use the team member and user link during the access rehearsal; a typed name is not a reliable basis for deciding who may edit a record.
Agree how corrections reach the manager when a field worker chooses the wrong location or records work late. Keep the actual event date in the relevant record and use the agreed review path before production is accepted. The pilot should establish a common vocabulary for the field codes and observation units.
