Who it's for

Pasture-based farms

A pasture-based farm needs a shared view of which paddocks can be used, who is working them and what the work produced. Livestock Management gives the operations team pasture identities, planned cycles, tasks, feed lots, observations and production records. The farm decides how its own operating terms map to the fields and status values.

How Livestock Management is set up for you

Paddock coordination

Keep location, area and availability with each named field, then review surveyed boundaries when the operating area changes.

Assigned work

Link feeding, inspection and other tasks to a cycle, pasture and team member. The manager records approval before the operator records completion.

Feed evidence

Compare lot stock with quantities recorded against feeding tasks. Use the expiry date and unit during the stock decision.

Measured output

Record actual production by cycle with date, amount, unit, grade and accepting reviewer.

A pasture-based farm needs a shared view of which paddocks can be used, who is working them and what the work produced. Livestock Management gives the operations team pasture identities, planned cycles, tasks, feed lots, observations and production records. The farm decides how its own operating terms map to the fields and status values.

Start with one group of paddocks and a short planning period. Enter the current field code and availability for each pasture, then choose one cycle that has a known start and expected result. Assign a real operator an inspection task and a feeding task. Review the approval queue before doing the work. Record feed use and an observation on the same paddock, then have a reviewer check the first production result.

The pilot should compare the cycle board, task board and production history with the farm's existing operating record. Decide how the team names observation types and production grades before expanding. If field staff use different units, settle a standard or document where conversion happens. Keep the boundary survey and operating area distinct when they differ.

This starting scope keeps the pasture plan grounded in records the team can inspect together. Expand to more paddocks after the manager, operator and reviewer have completed the same case and agreed how exceptions are corrected.
