Systems to connect
- Observability source. Configure the source endpoint represented by each log stream with the system that stores and searches the underlying logs.
- Processing events. Review the receipt created by stream registration using its external event identifier, receipt time and processing outcome. Agree separately how any connected provider supplies those identifiers.
- User accounts. Link each person to the user account used for service ownership and response work.
How connections are governed
Agree which team owns each source endpoint and how a provider identifies repeated events. Review failed and rejected registration receipts with the responsible operator using the exact external event identifier. Confirm the person linked to each user before granting working access or assigning an incident. Keep query definitions and retention days aligned with the observability source used by the service team.
