How a Manufacturing CRM rollout works

Pilot a manufacturing customer request with revision-bound evidence, independent review and confirmed effects.

  1. Agree the commercial boundary

Start with customer companies, opportunity stages and engineering feasibility scope. Identify any external quoting, production or accounting responsibility before designing a handoff.

  2. Map identities and records

Resolve business entities, user identities, team membership and customer companies before loading opportunities. Preserve drawing references, source revisions and operation keys with their evidence.

  3. Configure views and guarded actions

Set up the work screens and user administration for the pilot. Give the eligible Sales Manager reviewer a controlled, authorized decision action. Enforce live membership, current-revision and independent-review checks.

  4. Rehearse the customer cycle

Qualify a supported request, submit a drawing inquiry and review proposal scope. Include owner self-review, a stale revision, a changed drawing and a repeated operation key. Test verified acceptance and a loss with its reason.

  5. Verify effects and release

Check that unresolved handoffs remain Pending or Needs review, and that an inquiry completes only with real external evidence. Compare the migrated records with their source, obtain the business owner's acceptance and release the reviewed configuration.

What the customer provides

  • Company codes, organization details and the current customer contact context.
  • User identities, active membership and the intended independent reviewer.
  • Open opportunities with expected USD values, close dates and revision history available from the source.
  • Drawing references, material specifications, customer activity and acceptance or loss evidence.
  • External-system owners and confirmation references for engineering or compensating effects.

Changing it afterwards

Use Proto to prepare changes against the same canonical model. Review altered fields, permissions, actions and reference mappings with their owners. Preserve earlier decisions and receipts. Replay the pilot’s stale-revision, self-review and retry cases before enabling a changed workflow or connection.
