Proposal to customer outcome

The customer outcome belongs to the opportunity whose revision was reviewed. Proposal scope, next activity and customer evidence must remain connected so Sales Manager can explain why the deal advanced or closed. If a quoting system owns the commercial document, connect its reviewed reference to the opportunity before relying on it.

Step by step

  1. Prepare proposal scope Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner supplies the scope and next activity against the current opportunity revision. Locate applicable inquiry decisions and attachments before asking the reviewer to act.

    • Current scope ready for review
    • Updates Opportunities, Relationship activities, Record attachments
  2. Review the proposal Sales Manager

An eligible independent Sales Manager approves the locked revision through the configured proposal action. Record review decisions and the operation receipt that is returned unchanged on replay before advancing the opportunity to Proposal. Reject or Return retains the reason for further preparation.

    • Proposal decision recorded once
    • Updates Review decisions, Opportunities, Operation receipts
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  3. Record actual negotiation Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner records supporting customer activity and uses Negotiation only when negotiation has started. A different material or drawing requirement needs revised scope and current review coverage; an earlier approval cannot silently cover it.

    • Negotiation supported by activity
    • Updates Opportunities, Relationship activities
  4. Prepare the customer answer Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner supplies verified acceptance or loss evidence. Preserve the customer files and activity outcomes alongside the exact opportunity revision submitted for close.

    • Acceptance or loss evidence supplied
    • Updates Record attachments, Relationship activities
  5. Review the outcome Sales Manager

An eligible independent Sales Manager verifies that revision and the supporting evidence. Won requires win date; Lost requires loss reason. Preserve prior expected USD sales value and all activity evidence when writing the guarded result.

    • Won or Lost with required evidence
    • Updates Opportunities, Review decisions, Operation receipts
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  6. Check the receipt Sales Manager

Sales Manager compares the accepted result with the declared revision and effect. Auditor reads the original evidence and decision without using the sales estimate as invoiced or recognized revenue.

    • Recorded effect reconciled
    • Updates Operation receipts, Opportunities

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The reviewer sees an attachment from a different opportunity revision.
  • Negotiation is recorded before any negotiation actually occurred.
  • An owner approves the proposal or customer outcome they prepared.
  • A win overwrites the expected sales value instead of retaining it.
