Keys and references

Use stable source identities to resolve references and preserve the exact field names. Most records use Id; exchange rates uses ID, while Users has a User self-reference. Load user identities before resolving that self-reference and People.User. A personal planning view must resolve the linked person through its User mapping.

Use the text in demand pegging.supply reference to locate and check the actual purchase or work order. Reconcile source quantity units with Items.Unit before comparing them. Work orders.release operation key and release input hash retain release identity evidence. Preserve their original values when reviewing released work rather than manufacturing new release evidence during import.

Migration order

  1. Establish Users identities, then resolve Users.User and People.User in a second pass where needed.
  2. Load Items, Parties and Resources with agreed units and source identities; agree the read-only exchange rates source separately.
  3. Load Orders and order lines, then purchase orders and purchase lines with reconciled open quantities.
  4. Load work orders after their product, customer order, resource and person references can resolve. Load linked material issues, production logs and Batches with their actual states.
  5. Reconcile inventory balances with the stock owner. Load MRP runs, MRP exceptions and demand pegging in dependency order and review existing planning suggestions before enabling another run.
  6. Verify references, quantities, identity access and guarded release behavior before accepting the first operating cycle. Do not start historical workflows merely to import prior state.
