How the model is organised
Equipment register:

Maintenance planning:
Maintenance tasks holds due work; technician assignments connects a person to an asset for an effective period.
Safety and qualifications:
Safety permits belongs to an asset; technician certifications belongs to a person.
Service execution:
Work orders joins equipment and technician; work logs, device calibration, device identifiers, part usage and service history join the work order.

Keys and references
Use stable asset tags and source identifiers for imported equipment. Keep the work order reference on logs, calibration readings, identifiers, parts and service history. Keep asset references on maintenance tasks, permits, technician assignments and service costs. Technician and recorder references should point to the person who performed or authorized the action, rather than a display name entered into free text.
A service history amount and a service cost amount have different parent records. Review their source references before reconciliation. Preserve measurement units, part units, lot numbers, date windows and attachments with their records. Status values are specific to each table; do not copy a work order state into a permit or payment field.
Migration order
- Load Users and People, including the active staff identities used for assignments.
- Load Assets with asset tags, locations and assigned technicians.
- Load technician assignments, technician certifications and safety permits with their dates and evidence.
- Load maintenance tasks and work orders, preserving asset and technician references.
- Load work logs, device calibration, device identifiers, part usage and service history under the correct work orders.
- Load service costs and exchange rates, then review sample device histories with the responsible staff.
