Outpatient services
An outpatient service can use the visit record to organize patient arrival, clinical documentation and follow-up. Purpose-specific consent sits beside the patient identity, while a charge belongs to a particular encounter. A received payment belongs to the patient and has its own status and reference. Staff can read the clinical and financial records together without treating them as the same transaction.
How Nutrition & Diet Planning App is set up for you
Arrival
The coordinator moves the scheduled encounter into the active visit state when the patient presents.
Consent
Staff check the purpose and status of the relevant consent before relying on a signature.
Service record
The clinician adds an observation or note to the encounter and signs the note when ready.
Financial check
The coordinator reviews the service description and amount on a draft charge before approval.

Purpose-specific consent sits beside the patient identity, while a charge belongs to a particular encounter. A received payment belongs to the patient and has its own status and reference. Staff can read the clinical and financial records together without treating them as the same transaction.
Begin with a visit that includes a signed consent, a clinical note and a service charge. Ask the coordinator to find the patient by number and check the consent purpose. The clinician records the visit and signs the note after review. The coordinator creates the charge against the same encounter and approves it only after checking the description and amount. Record a patient payment separately with its receipt time and reference.
Rehearse a refund or an expired consent as a separate case. The staff member reading the record should be able to tell what happened clinically, what was charged and what money was recorded. Agree how an external invoice or payment service feeds reference information to this record and who reconciles it. Keep a follow-up task open if the care action itself has not been completed, even when the financial side has moved on.
