Review window coverage

Assess a named observation against its window and record the reviewer's coverage conclusion.

Step by step

  1. Select the window and observation Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer identifies the period being assessed and the reading that represents it. Production Planner checks that both refer to the same operating boundary before the discussion proceeds.

    • Identify the evidence under review
    • Updates Planned production windows, OEE observations
  2. Inspect the supporting evidence Quality Reviewer or Production Operator

Quality Reviewer examines planned minutes, cycle basis, run minutes and unit counts. Production Operator explains downtime timing and reasons where they affect the review.

    • Assess timing and count coverage
    • Updates Downtime intervals, Planned production windows, OEE observations
  3. Record incomplete coverage Production Planner or Production Operator

When evidence needs clarification, Production Planner or Production Operator records coverage as No with the reviewer, review time and a specific note. The note should tell the next person what needs checking.

    • Record No with reviewer and explanation
    • Updates OEE review snapshots, People
  4. Revisit the conclusion Production Planner or Production Operator

Quality Reviewer examines the clarified evidence. Production Planner or Production Operator records the resulting coverage conclusion against the selected observation, preserving the meaning of earlier reviews.

    • Record the reviewed coverage result
    • Updates OEE review snapshots, OEE observations
  5. Hand over acceptance questions Production Planner

Production Planner takes any batch acceptance question to the output-review process. Complete coverage does not change batch disposition or receive stock.

    • Prepare a separate output decision
    • Updates Batches, Work orders

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The snapshot refers to a different observation from the one discussed with the reviewer.
  • A later correction is treated as if an earlier review already covered it.
  • Complete coverage is mistaken for permission to release a Held batch.
