Cross-functional programs
A cross-functional program can assign work to people from different teams while retaining one objective and result set. Team member records hold role, team, weekly capacity and assigned workload. Managers can compare owner workload with task assignments and review open blockers without losing the objective link.
How OKR Tracking System is set up for you
Shared direction
Record the objective and its dated key results before assigning work.
Named owners
Assign each package, task and risk to the person responsible.
Review cadence
Follow task status, result outcome and the Review Queue together.
A cross-functional program can assign work to people from different teams while retaining one objective and result set. Team member records hold role, team, weekly capacity and assigned workload. Managers can compare owner workload with task assignments and review open blockers without losing the objective link.
A lead can use the dated result as the common review point while each discipline maintains its own assigned tasks. If a task is blocked, the project manager opens that task and its related issue. At the next review, the lead reads the same objective and sees the current work instead of collecting separate status messages from each team.
Use a pilot objective with tasks assigned across two teams. Check owner workload, a blocked task and a pending key result at the same review. Have the project manager follow the blocker record and the lead make the result decision at its target date. Agree who can change objective status, who records key result outcomes and who inspects submitted check-in decisions. After the pilot, compare the records with the team's existing review cadence and correct ownership at the source.
