How a Apparel and Footwear OMS rollout works

Prepare assortment, accounts and role decisions before rehearsing the first order cycle.

  1. Define scope

Select the retail organization, buying accounts, operating team and initial order channels.

  2. Prepare records

Load style variants by SKU, style, color and size; check buyer and bill-to links and shipping details.

  3. Assign work

Set order preparation, review, allocation, fulfillment, support and reconciliation responsibilities.

  4. Rehearse orders

Confirm a draft order, review its revision, allocate lines, release shipment and compare events and receipts.

  5. Test exceptions

Rehearse a shortage, payment mismatch, return and correction of an executed order.

  6. Start operations

Review the first live cycle through the operations overview, saved screens and source records.

What the customer provides

Provide the variant catalog, account and shopper records, operating organizations, named staff, shipping locations, order numbering convention and intended payment and channel connections. Identify the people who will make review and escalation decisions. Choose representative orders with more than one size or color for rehearsal.

Changing it afterwards

A changed line mix or account detail may require a new order revision and review. Preserve prior decisions, event history and receipts. For an Executed order, use the escalation and compensation path. Check linked payment, return and exception records before calling a correction complete.
