How a Order Management System rollout works

Set up the order cycle, rehearse decisions and move into daily use.

  1. Prepare records

Agree on organizations, users, team members, customers and product SK us. Choose the team responsible for each record.

  2. Configure access

Assign the order desk, reviewer, fulfillment, finance and operations responsibilities. Rehearse access using a real order case.

  3. Load opening work

Import customer orders, lines and linked evidence with stable references and current revisions.

  4. Rehearse the cycle

Confirm, review, allocate, release and reconcile an order. Test a returned review, a payment mismatch and a correction.

  5. Start daily work

Watch review, fulfillment and exception queues, and compare completed orders with their receipts.

What the customer provides

Bring customer and product records, open orders, order owners, channel references and the payment and fulfillment evidence needed for the first cycle. Name the people who approve orders and resolve exceptions. Decide how external channel and payment information will arrive.

Changing it afterwards

Change a live order through its revision and evidence path. Keep earlier review decisions, fulfillment events and processing receipts readable. When a process changes, rehearse it with an order in each relevant status before using it for the full order book.
