What you can do
Keep the working record clear
Corrective actions give an audit finding an owner, due date, action type and recorded status. Each action references an audit and certification scope. Quality Manager reviews a Planned action, records the approval decision and hands the assigned work to Action Owner. The owner can then record progress and completion on the same action.
An audit produces a need for an Inspection action. Quality Manager selects the related scope and audit, names Action Owner and sets the due date. The manager checks the case before moving Planned to Approved. Action Owner updates the work to in progress, then records the completed date and marks the action Completed when the work is finished.
How the work is organized
- Assign the work. Record the audit, scope, action type, owner and due date on the action.
- Review the decision. Quality Manager checks Planned actions before setting Approved.
- Follow completion. Action Owner records progress and the completed date on the assigned action.
What to agree during setup
Agree who may approve an action, what evidence supports completion and when cancellation is appropriate. The action type list is Planting, Irrigation, Feeding, Inspection and Harvest; use the type that describes the work rather than treating it as an outcome. Review the audit and scope references together before approval. The status field records the decision, while the completed date records when the work finished. Decide who corrects a wrong owner or due date before staff start work.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Open an action tied to a planned audit and known scope. Ask Quality Manager to review the action type, owner and due date, then explicitly decide whether the action should move from Planned to Approved. Ask Action Owner to find the same action, record in progress and enter the completed date when work ends. Reopen the action from the audit and compare its scope with the audit scope. If a registered input was used, open the usage record and confirm it points to this action. An action marked Completed without a recorded completion date needs review before the audit is closed.
Cancellation is also a recorded status. Quality Manager should review an action marked Cancelled separately from completed work and keep its audit link visible. A due date can pass while work remains Approved or in progress; the owner and manager should resolve that case from the action record.
