Procedure centers
A procedure center can use scheduled patient encounters to organize who is expected, which clinician is responsible and what evidence was captured during the episode. Coordinators manage the encounter state. Clinicians record notes, observations, specimens and dispensations. Governance staff maintain care-team assignments and clinician privilege verification.
How OT / Surgery Scheduling is set up for you
Visit list
The scheduled encounter list gives coordinators a date, patient, clinician and visit type for preparation.
Consent record
Purpose, version, signed document and status support a review before care begins.
Clinician verification
Privilege evidence, effective dates and status give governance staff a specific decision record.
Care evidence
Notes and observations belong to the encounter, while specimen and dispensation records add the specialized activity of that visit.
Completion
Reviewers inspect the encounter evidence, and patient tasks carry actions after the visit.

Pilot a single visit type with a patient who has a current consent and an assigned clinician. Book the encounter, review the consent document and privilege record, then mark arrival and start. During the episode, enter a signed note, a measured observation and a specimen if one is collected. Put the encounter into review, let the reviewer inspect the evidence, and then complete it. Create a patient follow-up task with a due date for the next team member.
Agree how the center confirms the planned visit date and responsible clinician, using the patient encounter as the care record. Set an operating rule for corrected notes and rejected specimens so the reviewer can understand changes. If charges follow the episode, verify the encounter link before billing.
