How a Pallet Tracking System rollout works

Put locations, stock, people and evidence in place before the first live shift.

  1. Map the operation

Name the organization, warehouse locations, pallet-code convention and staff who prepare or review requests.

  2. Prepare stock

Add items, tracking modes, lots and current on-hand quantities at their storage locations.

  3. Prepare work

Register handling units and loads, then link a real request to the item and location it affects.

  4. Rehearse decisions

Have Inventory Supervisor review a request and inspect its decision and operation receipt.

  5. Rehearse effects

Hold eligible lot quantity, execute approved work and compare the posted movement with the request.

  6. Check exceptions

Try an insufficient reservation, stale revision, reversal and mismatched reconciliation.

What the customer provides

Bring item codes and base units, current lots and balances, storage-location names, pallet codes and custody owners, open requests, carrier appointment examples and the team roster. Name who makes each decision and who follows up failed receipts. Keep source record numbers available so imported work can be traced.

Changing it afterwards

Review a request’s current revision before changing authorized scope. Use the correction or cancellation path to release held reservations. Reverse a posted movement with a compensating entry. Update pallet custody from the observed physical handoff. Rehearse the resulting receipt and lot balance before applying a new procedure to the full operation.
