Distribution docks
A distribution dock handles load timing and stock movement at the same time. The load identifies the carrier and its stage; stops identify their sequence, appointment and location. Pallet custody records show which handling units are staged or loaded. Stock requests, reservations and posted movements explain what changed in inventory as the dock work proceeds. Keeping these records connected helps the next shift distinguish a physical arrival from a posted quantity change.
How Pallet Tracking System is set up for you
Appointment visibility
Load Stops Schedule shows planned and confirmed appointments with location and sequence. Staff update the stop when a carrier arrives or misses the appointment.
Dock execution
Loads Board shows Scheduled, Arrived, Unloading, Loaded and Departed work with dock and seal details where recorded.
Inventory evidence
A reviewed request leads to a posted movement and recorded receipt. A failed reservation or verification writes a failed receipt that the supervisor can inspect.

Prepare one active organization and the dock, staging and storage locations used in a pilot lane. Add a carrier load with a sequenced stop at an appointment time. Register a pallet at a staging location and link it to a stock request. The clerk checks the item and quantity before the supervisor reviews the request. After approval, staff use the lot reservation and execution path appropriate to the work, then confirm the load and unit states from the physical dock event.
Run a second case in which a lot has insufficient free quantity because another request already holds stock. A Failed operation receipt should make the shortfall visible before the team promises the same quantity to the carrier. Reconcile the completed request against its posted movements and make the supervisor's follow-up clear if totals differ.
