Keys and references
Confirm the patient record before importing referrals or encounters. A referral follow-up points to Referrals, while a care task points to Patients and People. Notes and observations point to Encounters; they should not be attached by matching names. Preserve the staff user link and the clinician reference on assignment and privilege records.
Migration order
- Load Users and People, then Patients.
- Add all clinical privileges, all consents and care team assignments for current care context.
- Load Referrals, then referral follow ups.
- Load Encounters before clinical notes, Observations and Charges.
- Load care tasks and Payments after their patient and staff references exist.
- Review exchange rates separately from patient care records.
