Keys and references

Use the exact record identifiers and reference targets supplied by the app. Employee ID and core HR employee ID support agreed employee matching; do not replace references with similarly named people. Pay run number, payslip number and journal entry number explain the operational context but do not substitute for the stored links.

The operational screens draw on the underlying employee and payroll records. Users holds account names, email and role values, with its own User reference. Agree how accounts resolve to Employees before granting self-service access so the employee can retrieve the correct pay and tax artifacts.

Migration order

  1. Reference configuration. Prepare GL account map, earning codes, deduction codes, tax jurisdictions and pay calendars with the verified business rules.
  2. Employee context. Match Employees and import authorized Compensation and bank accounts with their references and dated approval information.
  3. Source inputs. Prepare Timecards, benefit deductions, Garnishments and one time payments with actual source decisions and effective dates.
  4. Payroll detail. Rehearse pay runs computation and inspect pay run items and payslip lines; avoid importing duplicate calculated children over an existing run.
  5. Artifacts and evidence. Verify Payslips and tax forms documents, then configure controlled bank payment confirmations intake and reconcile journal entries and journal entry lines.
