How a Pick & Pack Optimization rollout works

Pilot a request, eligible lot, wave review and verified stock effect.

  1. Set the scope

Inventory Supervisor chooses the organization, location, item and lot for the pilot.

  2. Prepare reference data

App Administrator sets up team access; Inventory Clerk checks item, lot and location identifiers.

  3. Review demand

Inventory Clerk enters a request and Inventory Supervisor decides its current revision.

  4. Rehearse stock

Hold eligible quantity, submit a wave and record the independent decision.

  5. Verify effects

Post the approved request's movement and reconcile it to a receipt. Try a failed quantity and a compensating reversal.

  6. Extend the shift

Add handling units, load details and stop appointments after the stock cycle is traceable.

What the customer provides

Provide current item identifiers, active locations, opening lot quantities, request numbers, team members and review owners. Agree zone names and pack station naming. Include one known shortfall and one correction case to test operational recovery.

Changing it afterwards

Review changes to approval authority and quantity rules with both the clerk and supervisor. Recheck the request, reservation, wave and movement path after changing those rules. Keep earlier decisions and receipts available for the auditor.
