- Pilgrimage shuttle operators
Pilgrimage shuttle operators
A shuttle operator may run several journeys across the same travel period. The trip board shows requested, approved, scheduled and active movements, while the schedule retains each journey's planned start and end. Vehicles and drivers are referenced on every trip, giving Dispatcher an assignment to review before departure.
How Pilgrimage / Religious Tourism is set up for you
Fleet choice
Compare vehicle capacity and status with the group's participant count and the journey's planned dates.
Route detail
Keep ordered trip stops for pickup points and destination locations, then record actual times along the route.
Documents
Attach transport files to the correct trip and record the person who verified each one.
Handoff
Record the recipient and proof on delivery evidence when the trip ends.
A shuttle operator may run several journeys across the same travel period. The trip board shows requested, approved, scheduled and active movements, while the schedule retains each journey's planned start and end. Vehicles and drivers are referenced on every trip, giving Dispatcher an assignment to review before departure.
Choose one vehicle and a few representative movements for the pilot. Enter the customer, origin, destination, driver and planned interval for each trip. Give Dispatcher a deliberately conflicting request and have them resolve the resource choice before approval. Driver should read the assignment, record actual departure, update stops and complete the delivery handoff.
Agree how vehicle status changes when a unit is assigned or under maintenance. Decide which transport document types must be checked before a departure. Compare the trip schedule with the board at each handoff so that staff can distinguish a request from a committed journey. Review the stop log at the end of the day for missing actual arrivals.
Dispatcher can compare the next assignment with the vehicle and driver already in use.
