Who it's for

General contractors

A general contractor needs the site plan, trade work and open questions to point to the same construction project. The project manager records the client or contractor organization and programme. Package owners then break the scope into dated work, while site managers use the task board and exception queue to keep the next decision visible.

How Construction PM is set up for you

Package ownership

Divide a building project by trade or phase, assign each package to a responsible lead and give tasks individual crew assignees.

Cross-trade blockers

Mark held tasks Blocked and raise an RFI or site issue when the answer needs separate ownership and severity.

Labour accountability

Compare estimated and actual task hours with submitted and approved timesheets before explaining a package variance.

Documented review

Attach drawings, photographs and inspection records to the intended subject and keep the reviewer decision with that subject.

A general contractor needs the site plan, trade work and open questions to point to the same construction project. The project manager records the client or contractor organization and programme. Package owners then break the scope into dated work, while site managers use the task board and exception queue to keep the next decision visible.

Start with one active building site, its current contractor organization and a package that several trades touch. Import the crew directory with active people and weekly capacities. Create a short task board with a known blocker and a due milestone. Run the daily site review from the active projects list, task board and Site Exception Triage page. Check that each item opens the correct project record.

Then submit a real labour entry through the approval path and inspect its decision and receipt. Raise an Open RFI with severity and confirm triage records its result. Keep a second issue without severity for the failed-path rehearsal. Agree who verifies fixed issues and who may mark a milestone Met after checking inspection evidence. If site certificates feed a payment process, connect that downstream process under the commercial owner's authority.
