Owners and capital project teams

An owner or capital project team needs a reliable view of the site programme without replacing the people doing the field work. The construction project holds the organization, contract value, dates, manager and status. Packages and tasks explain progress underneath, while milestones show named checkpoints. Risks and RF is identify uncertainty that needs a decision.

How Construction PM is set up for you

Programme position

Review active projects, due milestones and package dates with the project manager before a status update is shared.

Exception follow-up

Use Site Exception Triage to open the overdue milestone, overdue task, unverified fix or leading risk that needs attention.

Decision evidence

Follow submittal reviews and attached documents to the exact task or milestone discussed at a meeting.

Labour context

Compare approved time and task actuals with planned estimates when assessing a package's delivery position.

Pilot one capital works project with a client or contractor record, a named project manager and a small set of milestones. Choose a work package whose tasks already have dates and owners. At the weekly review, open the milestone at risk and follow its source task. Check whether an RFI is still Open, Triaged, Fixed or Verified. If it is Fixed, ask the quality inspector for verification before treating that question as closed.

Record a drawing review against the correct subject and keep the decision date and reviewer visible. Compare the project rollups with the underlying packages rather than relying on a single progress figure. Agree the separate handoff for payments or contract administration if milestone outcomes feed those processes; the site record supplies delivery context and evidence for that discussion.
