How the model is organised

Projects and schedules:

Projects, People, production tasks and project costs tie ownership, work and spending to a production cycle.

Content and revisions:

Content items and content files keep the editorial lifecycle and current attachment together.

Episodes:

Episodes connect series, audio and publish timing to content items.

Rights agreements:

Rights agreements attach permitted uses and contract dates to content items.

Distribution receipts:

Distribution receipts carry platform evidence for Episodes.

Keys and references

Keep stable identifiers for projects, content items, episodes and platform receipts. Import each child after its parent so references resolve. People link to authenticated Users. Match platform receipts by platform and external identifier, then check the linked episode. Do not collapse a content approval, episode schedule and receipt confirmation into one status.

Migration order

  1. Load Users and People, then Projects with owners, schedules and budgets.
  2. Load content items, production tasks and project costs against their projects.
  3. Load rights agreements and content files against the intended content items.
  4. Load Episodes with their linked operational content record and audio.
  5. Load distribution receipts against Episodes; reconcile external identifiers and confirmation dates before publication review.
