What you can do

Follow each admission line

An admission line belongs to an event and has a line number, quantity, price, reservation time and admission time. An attendee reference can connect the line to the person or booking process used at the entrance. The Admissions Coordinator records reserved demand first and adds the admission time when the person enters. The revision identifies the line state used by a guarded operation.

The event capacity is the comparison point. The team needs to read existing reservations before accepting more demand, then distinguish reserved quantity from actual admissions when the event ends. A provider receipt may be stored on the admission line, while provider payment events remain separate payment evidence records on the event. This separation lets Finance Reviewer compare what happened at the gate with verified payment evidence.

How the work is organized

  • Reservation. The line records quantity and when space was reserved.
  • Entry. Admission time distinguishes arrivals from reservations.
  • Reconciliation. The event links gate activity to verified provider evidence.

What to agree during setup

  • Reference. Decide how the admission desk identifies an attendee.
  • Quantity. Agree how capacity is divided among reservations.
  • Scan. Decide when admission time is recorded and how repeat scans are handled.

Agree how staff identify a person at the entrance and whether one line can represent more than one admission. Set a capacity rule for reservations and assign the person who investigates a duplicate scan.

Check the handoff on an actual case

For an Open Saturday market, Admissions Coordinator reserves an admission quantity within the event capacity. At the entrance, the coordinator records the admission time once. A second scan of the same line should return the prior outcome rather than add another admission. The reservation remains visible even if no one arrives.

Have Finance Reviewer compare the admitted quantity with verified provider events linked to that market. If a receipt shows Failed or needs review, trace it to the admission line and event before repeating the action. Market Manager can then tell whether the exception concerns capacity, entry or payment evidence before deciding whether the event can close.

What your team sees

  • Admissions by Event — Reservation and admission lines for the selected market.
  • Open Events — Open markets where the desk can inspect capacity.

Follow the work through

Follow market planning through event review, then use vendor review and admission to close for the later handoffs. Implementation gives the team a pilot sequence.
