What you can do

Start with the event

The Market Manager creates the event for the operator organization and chooses the venue. A record number and subject let the team identify the market in discussions and in the linked records. Start and end dates set the operating window; capacity gives the admissions team its working limit. Assign an owner who can answer questions about the plan and keep the revision current.

An event begins in Draft. Moving it into Review makes the intended dates, site and capacity a decision for an independent Event Reviewer. The reviewer records a decision against the same revision and explains the reason. Opening the event follows that decision. The status then tells admissions and vendor teams which event is ready for live work.

How the work is organized

  • Plan. The event carries its organization, venue, owner, dates and capacity.
  • Review. The reviewer decides on the revision the Market Manager submitted.
  • Release. The opening handoff checks that decision before admissions begin.

What to agree during setup

  • Identity. Agree how a record number and subject identify a market across teams.
  • Ownership. Assign the event owner and the reviewer before the review starts.
  • Capacity. Set the quantity limit that reservations will use.

Agree who may change dates, capacity or venue after submission. A change to the event revision calls for a fresh decision before the Market Manager opens it. Have the owner and reviewer use the same event number during rehearsal.

Check the handoff on an actual case

For a Saturday market, the Market Manager selects the operator and active venue, enters a capacity and assigns a team member as owner. The Event Reviewer reads the site note and approves the current revision with a reason. Before opening, the manager checks that the decision still matches the event. If the date changes, the earlier approval cannot carry the new plan.

Have Admissions Coordinator find the Open event and confirm its capacity without asking the manager for a separate schedule. A failed opening attempt should lead the manager to the linked operation receipt and its reason before another attempt uses the same key.

What your team sees

  • Events In Review — Events awaiting an independent decision, with owner and revision visible.
  • Event Schedule — Approved and open markets with their start and end dates.

Follow the work through

Follow market planning through event review, then use vendor review and admission to close for the later handoffs. Implementation gives the team a pilot sequence.
