The tables behind Power Plant Operations

Power Plant Operations ships with 11 tables, grouped here by the feature that uses them. Every record your team works with lives in one of them, and you can add fields and tables in Proto.

How the model is organised

Site context

Sites anchor Meters, operational events, maintenance tasks and Tariffs.

Generation

Generating units belong to operational events, and generation intervals belong to generating units.

Metering

Meter readings and energy intervals each refer to Meters.

People and work

People connect to Users and receive maintenance tasks.

Keys and references

Each record has its own identifier or account reference. Follow the explicit reference columns when tracing a period to its meter or unit. A generating unit’s operational record supplies its event context. A maintenance task identifies both its site and assigned person. The model has 11 tables; saved list screens remain views on those records.

Migration order

  1. Create Users and People, then enter Sites.
  2. Add Meters for the correct sites and operational events for plant context.
  3. Add generating units against their operational records.
  4. Bring in meter readings and generation intervals with their references and time boundaries.
  5. Add energy intervals, maintenance tasks and Tariffs after the referenced records exist.
